Spectres Pull Out Late Win, 8-7
|
The Philadelphia Spectres defeated the Buffalo Rangers by the score of 8-7, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Fernando Malleta. Alberto Zamora, now 1-0, was credited with the win in 1 innings of relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Philadelphia has a record of 3-5.
Matthew Heintz was the walk-off hero for Philadelphia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Spectres shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
