Testaverde of Maine Earns EC Batting Crown

According to his manager, Matthew McExpos, "Hard work and a good, quick swing were the keys to Jacob Testaverde winning the Eastern Conference batting championship this season."
It became official with the close of the regular season that the Maine designated hitter had won the title with a .340 batting average. During the year Testaverde played in 158 games and accumulated 196 hits, including 54 doubles, 3 triples and 25 home runs.
The EC's leading batter also put up 102 RBIs and scored 103 runs.
