Linkous Gone for Season in Montreal Saturday, September 29th , 2085 Montreal first baseman Matt Linkous suffered a season-ending injury colliding with a player at a base in today's game against the Avispas. According to club doctors Linkous has a broken kneecap. Although Linkous has declined to comment, sources close to the player have stated that he is "devastated" that he will miss the playoffs. This season, Linkous is hitting .344 with 33 hits, no home runs, 17 RBIs, scored 15 runs and played in 29 games. |
