No Late-Season Magic Coming: Vancouver Out of Playoffs Monday, September 24th , 2085 A late-season playoff push is not in the cards for the Vancouver Wolves. The club today was mathematically knocked out of playoff contention. "There are a lot of long faces around right now," said Wolves manager Zach Meinen. "You know in your head that every year, most teams in baseball have to go through this, but it still hurts when you realize you've lost your shot at a title." The Wolves have missed the playoffs 79 times in their 96 years as a Rising Star League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2081. In the last 10 seasons, the Wolves have missed the playoffs 8 times. Vancouver last won the League Championship in 2016. |
