Leija Torches Destroyers for 5 Hits Saturday, September 1st , 2085 Alexjandria Leija really sizzled at the plate in his team's 12-0 win over the San Diego Destroyers. The Denver third baseman blistered San Diego for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Leija was too tough to get out today," the Destroyers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Alexjandria Leija doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
