Santiago Starter Named EC's Top Pitcher Saturday, September 1st , 2085 August's premier pitcher was Jose Nereida of Santiago Avispas. He pulverized Eastern Conference hitters all month long and picked up the Pitcher of the Month award. The Avispas star hurler fashioned a 4-0 record en route to the honor. He had 26 strikeouts in 27.1 innings and compiled a 0.99 ERA. Other clubs hit .214 against him. To date this year, in 26 starts, Nereida has crafted a 9-7 mark with a 3.17 ERA. |
