Number 500 for Velado Monday, August 2nd , 2083 It was a historic day in the life of Tillmam Velado. The 30-year-old Alaska right fielder recorded the 500th homer of his career in the Kodiaks 11-7 triumph over the Miami Cyclones. In the clubhouse after the game, Velado told BNN, "I was just looking for a ball to drive, and I got one." Lifetime Velado has played in 1473 games with a .252 batting average.
