Wolves-Stars Swap: Goings for Laghi Sunday, August 6th , 2084 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Wolves announced today the acquisition of 20-year old minor league RHP Roberto Laghi and a 2nd round draft pick from the Los Angeles Stars in exchange for 22-year old RHP Cody Goings. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Wolves, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Goings's record so far this season is 1-and-4 with 14 saves and a 3.32 ERA. He has given up 39 hits in 40.2 innings with 52 strikeouts. |
