Minneapolis Shuts Out San Diego Behind Jones, 5-0 Saturday, August 5th , 2084 Benjamin Jones was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Minneapolis Vikings hurler tossed a 1-hit, complete game shutout against the San Diego Destroyers. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Jones. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked.
