Kansas City Halts Duarte's Hitting Steak Sunday, July 30th , 2084 The Athletics stopped Eddie Duarte's 21-game hitting streak at Portland Park, but they couldn't stop the Portland Dragons, falling by the score of 8-6. Duarte didn't get a hit for the first time in weeks, finishing 0-for-4. "It's just as well," Dragons manager Greg Carpenter said.
