EC's #1 Player Named Monday, July 24th , 2084 24-year-old Edwin Valenzuela sent shock waves through Rising Star League last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the Eastern Conference Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Valenzuela made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .444 average, 12 hits in 27 at-bats, 1 home run and 8 RBI. Where the St. Louis Gaedels second baseman goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Valenzuela certainly made his mark last week. So far this season, Valenzuela has hit .336 with 7 home runs, 49 RBIs and scored 38 times. |
