Lannin Holds Santiago Scoreless Wednesday, July 19th , 2084 In an outstanding mound performance, St. Louis Gaedels starter Brent Lannin fired a complete-game shutout against the Santiago Avispas at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. Lannin was the key to the 2-0 St. Louis win. The 27-year-old right-hander was in high spirits for much of the game, his mood largely unfazed by the 4 hits and no walks he allowed. "4 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter, as long as it was a shutout." On the year, Lannin has compiled a 7-4 mark with a 4.63 ERA.
