Vancouver Sends Pels to Chicago Sunday, July 16th , 2084 Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Wolves announced today the acquisition of 19-year old LHP Hyeon-san Lee, 21-year old LHP Carlos Acosta, 20-year old RHP Mark Robertson, and a 5th round draft pick from the Chicago Phantoms in exchange for 25-year old LHP Vito Pels. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Wolves, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams." Thus far this season, Pels has worked 67.2 innings with 58 strikeouts en route to a 5-2 record and a 3.19 ERA. |
