Bizarro Keeps Hit Streak Alive
Thursday, July 13th , 2084
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Ramão Bizarro did it again, bashing 2 hits in the contest at Stars Ballpark. For the last 25 games in a row, the 30-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Los Angeles Stars beat the Havana Metropolitanos, 11-1.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Bizarro told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Los Angeles clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Ramão Bizarro doubled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and singled in the 7th.
To date Bizarro has chalked up a .279 average with 10 home runs, driven in 34 runs and scored 60 times.
