Done Deal: Okumura for Brady Sunday, June 25th , 2084 After prolonged negotiations Vancouver agreed to ship 21-year old minor league 3B Yoshihiko Okumura and a 2nd round draft pick to Seattle for 25-year old RF Keverne Brady. The deal is awaiting confirmation from the league office but neither team expects any hang-ups. "It took longer than expected," said one GM, "but we knew that the deal was going to happen." This season, Brady has posted a batting average of .306 with 22 hits in 72 at-bats, 1 home run and 10 RBIs. He has also scored 8 runs, walked 4 times and compiled a .346 OBP. |
