Armijo's 31-Game Hit Streak Ends Tuesday, June 6th , 2084 It was a doubly miserable day for Alonzo Armijo of the Miami Cyclones, as he saw his 31-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 6-1, to the Toronto Juggernauts at Molson Park. The 30-year-old left fielder was held hitless in 4 at-bats by the Juggernauts. "Anyone on a 31-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," Toronto manager Marc Arnold said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." So far this year, Armijo is batting .323 with 1 home run. |
