Fierro Put in Cooler, Hitless Against San Diego Sunday, March 31st , 2086 Yellowknife Ravens left fielder Jose Fierro finally met his Waterloo. A 24-game hitting spree is now history after Fierro was unable to make anything happen in 3 at-bats today against the San Diego Destroyers. Fortunately for Fierro and the Ravens, the rest of his team had enough in their bats to win the game, 5-0. "We're a true team here," he said. "For 24 games I've been able to contribute, but I always believed these guys would take care of things if I couldn't some day." |
