San Diego Trades Speed for Tucson's Bozek Sunday, August 5th , 2085 The Baseball News Network is reporting that San Diego and Tucson have agreed in principle to a swap that will send 21-year old CF Oscar Markuschewitz, 22-year old 3B Max Speed, 29-year old LHP Ray Broekhuizen, 30-year old CF Alex Pedraja, and a 2nd round draft pick to the Toros with 34-year old LHP Kurt Bozek joining the Destroyers. San Diego general manager Steve Alstadt would not confirm the trade, but a team representative close to the negotiations said the deal is official and is now only awaiting approval from the league. So far this year, Bozek has made 49 relief appearances with 4 saves, thrown 53.1 innings and struck out 40 with a 5-3 record. |
