San Diego-Seattle Announce Swap Sunday, July 8th , 2085 After prolonged negotiations San Diego agreed to ship 21-year old minor league RHP Izumi Maeda and 20-year old minor league 2B Jou Nishimura to Seattle for 25-year old RF Shane Hirsh and 24-year old LHP Mike Kostin. The deal is awaiting confirmation from the league office but neither team expects any hang-ups. "It took longer than expected," said one GM, "but we knew that the deal was going to happen." Hirsh on the season is batting .290 with 4 home runs. His totals include 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He has played in 43 games. |
