Ramirez Booms 3 out of the Park Saturday, July 7th , 2085 Isandro Ramirez of the Toronto Juggernauts had a lot to celebrate in today's 7-1 win over the Denver Glaciers after pounding a trio of home runs at Molson Park. "I'm just closing my eyes and swinging as hard as I can," he joked with reporters after the game. "It worked well today." The powerful Toronto third baseman tagged 3 hits in 4 at-bats, drove in 5 runs and scored 3 times in his three-homer outburst. "We talked about changing our strategy for the third one, and then he went and hit another homer," Denver manager Todd Bleess said. "We just couldn't get him out." Isandro Ramirez hit a solo-shot off Earl Starr in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Earl Starr in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Earl Starr in the 6th and grounded out in the 8th. So far this year in 19 games, Ramirez is hitting .275 with 4 home runs, 15 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
