Glaciers Turn Back Seattle, 7-5
|
The Denver Glaciers defeated the Seattle Arrows, 7-5, at Mountain Dew Park. Leading the charge for Denver was first baseman Chris Eighmy. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. The win gives Denver a record of 4-3.
The Glaciers got a big hit from catcher Alvaro Salazar. Facing Seattle pitcher B.J. Terriquez in the bottom of the fifth, Salazar pounded a 2-run home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Glaciers ahead, 7-1.
"We took advantage of our opportunities," Salazar told the Denver Herald. "It's as simple as that."
