Arrows Edge Destroyers, 3-2
|
San Diego left fielder Edgar Malhado had a good game, even if his team did not. The Destroyers dropped a 3-2 decision to Seattle at Power Ballpark. Malhado went 4-4 with a home run and 3 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Midori Murakami earned the save, his 2nd. Seattle raised its record to 34-32 with the win.
Had Hideji Yamanaka not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Yamanaka hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Arrows.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Yamanaka said after the game.
