The Tucson Toros did just enough to sneak past the Minneapolis Vikings, 5-4, at Minneapolis Grounds. Tucson pitcher Miguel Moquete, in particular, had a standout performance. Moquete picked up the win for Tucson, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 6-4. Kurt Bozek closed it out for Tucson, earning his 3rd save.

Mario Flores had a big 2-run home run for the Toros in the top of the fifth inning. With Tucson leading 3-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 24-year old left-handed pitcher Joseph Stark and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Toros on top, 5-1.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Moquete said after the game.
