Senators Beat Kings, 2-0
|
The Baltimore Kings got a superb performance from pitcher Stuart Stephenson. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Washington. The Senators won the game, 2-0. Stephenson threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Zenjiro Koga claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record stands at 9-4. With the win, Washington goes to 28-37, while the Kings fall to 32-33.
Zheng-ze Gu contributed to the Washington win with a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Gu.
