The Denver Glaciers took Alaska pitcher Savino Dore's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Mountain Dew Park. The final score had Denver getting past the Kodiaks, 5-4. Dore went 6.1 innings and allowed 3 runs, striking out 9. Reliever Jose Prades picked up the win. His record improves to 3-0. Eddie Izurieta, who finished 2nd in the WC in strikeouts with 234 in 2065, took the loss. The Glaciers raised their record to 32-33.

Denver took a 5-3 lead on Chris Eighmy's 17th home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Eighmy hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Alaska pitcher Eddie Izurieta visibly frustrated.

Eighmy called the win "a pick-me-upper."
