Athletics Take Home 4-3 Win Over Minneapolis
|
In a close game at Ballpark of Missouri, the Kansas City Athletics edged the Minneapolis Vikings, 4-3. Kansas City catcher Brian Lynch stood apart with his performance. He was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The win for the Athletics raised their record to 36-30.
Kansas City took control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and runners on 1st and 2nd, D.J. Trigg hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Athletics.
Kansas City manager Joe Monagle called it "a darn good win."
