3-0 Loss to Toros Extends Phoenix Losing Streak
The Tucson Toros went home winners at Legednary Park, thanks in large part to starter Tony Masso. Masso stifled the Phoenix Thunderbirds, enabling Tucson to grab the 3-0 win. Masso yielded no runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 7. His record improves to 3-6. Alex Mayorga was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 2 of 2 save opportunities.

Tucson used the hitting of Jose Pedroza to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Toros on top, 2-0. For the game, Pedroza had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
