Phantoms Improve to 37-28 with 8-6 Win
Manichiro Kawasaki did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Las Vegas Aces from being beaten, 8-6, to the Chicago Phantoms at Foster Field. Kawasaki was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With the win, the Phantoms have a record of 37-28.

Boyd Heath had a big 2-run home run for the Phantoms in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Chicago trailing 3-2 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a curveball from Yolber Ajete, who is tied for 9th in the WC with a 8.8 K/9 rate, and punished it. The result was his 5th home run of the season, which put the Phantoms on top, 4-3.

"We take it day by day here," said Heath, "and today was a good one for us."
