|
Feng Shuai pitched a gem to lead Tucson to victory over the Los Angeles Stars, 3-0. Shuai, the winner, moves to 1-1. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. Cody Sosnowski earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.
The Toros had to work out of trouble in the top of the sixth. The score was 2-0, Tucson, with no one out. Los Angeles, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Jose Gonzales dug in at the plate, but on a 1-1 fastball, he hit into a double play.
Los Angeles drops to 3-4.
