The Miami Cyclones grabbed a win, 7-3, over the Havana Metropolitanos at Kroger Stadium. Miami designated hitter Adam Adamski belted 2 home runs. Miami reliever Sergej van Anrooij picked up the win, raising his record to 3-2. Buddy Verveer was tagged with the loss. Chris Herdegen earned the save for Miami, his 2nd.
The Cyclones had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 7-3, Miami, with one out. Havana, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Jordan Vasquez dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 sinker, he flied out.
The setback makes Havana 40-23.
