The Brooklyn Browns outlasted Angel Ramirez and the Santiago Avispas, 9-7. Ramirez was impressive in the loss. The Santiago catcher was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Nate Yakovlev finished to wrap up his 13th save. The losing streak for Santiago has now reached 4 games.

Michiyo Kazama had a big 2-run double for the Browns in the top of the sixth inning. With Brooklyn leading 5-4 and the bases loaded, he got a sinker from 25-year old right-handed pitcher Phillip Dalley and swatted a double to right. It was his 12th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Browns ahead, 7-4.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Kazama.
