Vikings Get Clonked by Stars, 5-3
|
Mike Merdinger, who finished 4th in the WC in ERA with 2.59 in 2078, had a strong outing for the Los Angeles Stars against the Minneapolis Vikings at Stars Ballpark. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-3 win. The win belonged to Dustin Kerley in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Miguel Morales took the loss for Minneapolis. Los Angeles goes to 4-2.
The game was at a stalemate until catcher Robersy Larosa came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Minneapolis pitcher Miguel Morales, he hit a 1-0 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Los Angeles on top, 4-3.
