Fans who congregated at Polo Grounds II were treated to extra-inning drama.

The Cincinnati Twins outlasted the New York Titans, 10-7, in 10 innings. Eloy Laca led the way, going 3-for-4 for Cincinnati. Cincinnati pitcher Macario Mendoza earned the win, hiking his record to 3-3. Vaisel Ajete suffered the loss.

Cincinnati used the clutch hitting of Cristovão Alvelo to capture the win. The center fielder drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Twins the lead, 8-7. For the game, Alvelo had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.

"We knocked the fire out of the ball," said Cincinnati manager Ryan Stoops. "The guys swung the bats pretty good, and that's fun to see."

The Twins improved their record to 30-31 with the win over New York.
