Senators Stumble, Lose to Gaedels
The St. Louis Gaedels went home winners at Veeck Park, thanks in large part to starter Carlos Yturralde. Yturralde stifled the Washington Senators, enabling St. Louis to grab the 9-1 win. Tso-i Mak earned save number 1 this season. The Gaedels raised their record to 3-4.

The Gaedels got a big hit from right fielder Geri Rengifo. Facing Washington pitcher Yuuya Usui in the bottom of the eighth, Rengifo pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season put the Gaedels ahead, 9-1.

"Carlos's focus was outstanding. The way he handled every moment -- when there was a little trouble, he didn't lose his tempo or his rhythm," said St. Louis manager Mak Dolnick.
