Vikings Win in Glorious Fashion, 5-4
|
Leonilde Tigre made an impact in the 5-4 Minneapolis win over Los Angeles. Tigre, who finished 2nd in the WC in OPS with .971 in 2078, went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 3. The winner was Minneapolis reliever Lesley Deakin, now 3-0. The loser was Danny Serrano. Minneapolis is now 41-21. Los Angeles is 33-28.
The decisive blow was delivered by Javy Trinidad in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off former first round draft pick Dustin Kerley to win the game for Minneapolis. The home crowd went nuts.
"The crowd was juiced," said Trinidad.
