Pitcher Jarrod Beckman was rock solid in helping the Chicago Phantoms beat the Vancouver Wolves, 2-1. The winning pitcher was Beckman, now 2-0. He tossed 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. Vancouver falls to 2-5.

Hotel Jesus Jr. had a direct impact on the outcome. Jesus Jr. contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Chicago up, 2-0.
