Los Angeles Bats Go Silent in 2-0 Loss
|
Vismay Falcon, who finished 2nd in the WC in wins with 16 last year, played a key role in a gritty 2-0 Minneapolis Vikings win against the Los Angeles Stars. Los Angeles now has a record of 4-3.
Dante Cuadra had a big solo home run for the Vikings in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Minneapolis leading 1-0 and the bases empty, he sized up a slider from Mike Merdinger, who led the WC in ERA with 2.13 in 2082, and punished it. The result was his 1st home run of the season, which put the Vikings on top, 2-0.
"Vismay was Vismay," said Vikings manager Ace Cooan. "We know what we'll get whenever he takes the mound."
