Kings Rally to Beat Gaedels, 8-6
Getting a good performance from first baseman Harold Wicks, the Baltimore Kings defeated the St. Louis Gaedels, 8-6. Wicks was 4-4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Kings. Raudelin Proenza earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. His record is now 1-0. Getting the save was James L'Hommedieu, his 4th.

Baltimore used the timely hitting of Danny Rubio to seize the win. The designated hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Kings on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We try to keep the mood light around here," said Wicks. "Winning helps."

Baltimore occupies first place in the Eastern Conference Muldoom O'Mulmohery Division at 39-21.
