Destroyers Bump Off Dragons, 5-3
|
Behind a solid performance from designated hitter Ju-ho Cheon, the San Diego Destroyers defeated the Portland Dragons, 5-3. Cheon went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Destroyers. Keaton Bozek picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-4. He struck out 2 in 5 innings. San Diego is now 24-36, Portland 28-32.
Cheon had an important at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the sixth, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Destroyers went on to win.
"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Cheon.
