The Buffalo Rangers went home winners at Bison Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Bobby Jaramillo. Jaramillo stifled the Philadelphia Spectres, enabling Buffalo to grab the 3-1 win. Jaramillo yielded 1 run over 5.2 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 3, and struck out 5. His record improves to 1-0. Buffalo improves to 39-21 with the win. They lead their division by 5½ games.

Bejo Ananas, who finished 2nd in the EC in doubles with 49 last year, aided the Buffalo cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the third. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
