Santiago Scrapes Out 3-2 Win
|
The Brooklyn Browns could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Alberto Vasquez into a win. Instead, the Santiago Avispas prevailed, 3-2. Vasquez threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Santiago is now 6-1.
Santiago took a 3-2 lead on Innis Walker's 3rd double of the season. The 2-run double, which Walker hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Brooklyn pitcher Jorge Gamez visibly frustrated.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Brooklyn skipper Jason Cormier.
