Glaciers Tag Twins with 6-2 Loss
|
Denver got a strong outing from Edwin Munoz as the Glaciers defeated the Cincinnati Twins, 6-2, at Cincinnati Grounds. Munoz, now 5-4, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 8, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Denver is second in the Western Conference Eddie Izurieta Division with a record of 31-28.
Denver won the game in part because of John Sauve. The right fielder ripped a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Glaciers ahead, 3-1. For the game, Sauve had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.
"Edwin was in attack mode the whole game," said Denver manager Todd Bleess.
