Browns Lose, 6-4
|
The Miami Cyclones downed the Brooklyn Browns, 6-4, at Brown Town. The Cyclones were led by Alonzo Armijo. Armijo went 4-4 with 4 singles and a walk. The winner was Ed Rice, who threw 101 pitches over 5.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 2 runs on 8 hits. The Cyclones are now 26-32.
Koson Kitano, who is a two-time Gold Glove Award winner, helped out the Miami cause in the top of the second inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Armijo told the Miami Times.
