Portland picked up a win at Portland Park, bumping off the San Diego Destroyers, 4-2. Pitcher Yahya Kanoro was a major reason the Dragons emerged victorious. Charlie Petipas recorded his 4th save for Portland. With the win, Portland elevates its record to 4-2.

Kanoro was in the zone all game. He frustrated San Diego hitters while giving the Dragons 6.2 innings of quality work. Kanoro threw 99 pitches, allowing 1 hit and getting 9 punchouts.

"Yahya -- I just love the competitor in him," said Dragons manager Greg Carpenter.
