Chicago starter Jake Orthman kept the Houston offense in check, while his team rolled to a win, 11-0. Orthman got the win, improving to 6-4. He gave up 6 hits and walked 4 over 8.2 innings. He allowed no runs. Chicago goes to 33-26, Houston to 33-26.

Steve Mayeux had a big 2-run home run for the Phantoms in the top of the second inning. With Chicago leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he got a fastball from Axel Mendiola, who is tied for 8th in the WC in innings pitched with 77.1, and swatted a home run to center. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phantoms ahead, 4-0.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Houston manager Brandon Coroian. "They smoked us."
