Santiago 11-4 Victors at Mount Royal Park
The Santiago Avispas beat the Montreal Harfangs, 11-4, at Mount Royal Park. Sergio Folha, who is a four-time All-Star, starred for Santiago. He went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. The winner in relief was Aaron Ranks. He is now 3-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.1 innings. Santiago, at 39-19, is 6 games up in the Eastern Conference Walker Division.

Nate Tinsley had a big run-scoring triple for the Avispas in the top of the seventh inning. With Santiago leading 5-4 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 23-year old left-handed pitcher Ryan Lane and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Avispas ahead, 6-4.

Santiago manager Jacob Pauly commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
