Alex Zendejas did all he could to help his team prevail. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Havana Metropolitanos from losing the game, 5-4, to the Buffalo Rangers in 12 innings at Estadio Latinoamericano. Zendejas was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 3 walks. With the victory, the Rangers record stands at 38-20.

Buffalo used the timely hitting of Rafael Vasco to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Rangers on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Kevin Mayerhofer.
