Beau Eschmann picked a good time to have a career day.
In Game 6 of the League Championship, the Chicago Phantoms starter dominated the overmatched Santiago Avispas to help his club move into a 3-3 tie. The right-handed Eschmann threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the 2-0 victory. Eschmann threw 8.0 innings of 5-hit ball in the win at Estadio Guillermón Moncada. The Phantoms and Avispas are playing a best-of-9 series.
Donner Munro had a direct impact on the outcome. Munro contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Chicago up, 1-0.
"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Munro, "one at-bat at a time."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Foster Field in Chicago.
