Sarmiento Blasts Avispas, Kings Take Game 3, 6-5
The Baltimore Kings have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Santiago Avispas, winning, 6-5, at AT&T Park. Kings catcher Tom Sarmiento went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win cuts the deficit facing the Kings to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Conference Championship.

Had Da-xia Peng not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Peng hit a run-scoring double. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Kings.

"We found a way to get it done," Peng said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at AT&T Park in Baltimore.
