Santiago Pins 6-2 Loss on Baltimore
|
The Santiago Avispas got a strong performance from pitcher Jimmy Biair, who stymied the visiting Baltimore Kings en route to a win, 6-2, in Game 2 of the Conference Championship. The Kings could never get a bead on the right-handed Biair, who threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The Avispas now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.
Daichi Sakai, the Santiago center fielder, contributed a 2-run double in the bottom of the fourth inning to make the score 3-0, Avispas. For the game, Sakai was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"What we get, we earn," Biair told the Santiago Herald.
