The Tucson Toros defeated the Minneapolis Vikings, 6-4, in Western Conference action at Aetna Stadium. Tucson pitcher Taxi Sabala had a standout performance. Sabala picked up the win for Tucson, going 6.2 innings. He gave up 4 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-5. The Toros now own a record of 27-30.
The Toros got a big at-bat from second baseman Isaac Butzer. For the game, Butzer was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Tucson a 6-4 lead.
"Taxi was dictating to their hitters," said Tucson manager Rick Barnes.
